About the Brandon Foundation In 2003, Founders Anne Nymark and Arlene Waldron, two hard-working ladies who saw the need in our community, decided to launch The Greater Brandon Community Foundation, a non-profit, 501 3 (c) organization, with a mission to improve the quality of life and shape the future of our community by creating public awareness, developing resources and supporting initiatives that address local needs. To date, the Greater Brandon Community Foundation supports over 50 registered charities and for the past 7 years, distributed over 750,000 dollars to local charities right here in our community.
Anne and Arlene’s vision to provide a link between those with resources and those who need help, to mobilize individuals to become active partners in the building of a better community and to be a permanent resource for the needs of our community’s future has become a reality born out of their passion six years ago.
