The Lynn Sowers Memorial Foundation was created in memory of Deputy Lynn Sowers. The Foundation is a nonprofit organization established to financially assist Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office employees who have suffered a catastrophic event. To date, the Foundation has distributed over $1 million to employees in need, while protecting the identity and privacy of all recipients. The majority of funding is derived from employee donations, mainly through payroll contribution. The organization also accepts donations from private sources and the community. Donations can be mailed to The Lynn Sowers Memorial Foundation, P.O. Box 270441, Tampa, FL 33688.
Hillsborough Firefighters Benevolent Relief Fund’s mission is to respond to a brother or sister firefighter in need. In 2004, the nonprofit organization was established. Their focus is on firefighters in Tampa, Temple Terrace, Plant City, MacDill and Hillsborough. To learn more, visit www.firefighter-relief.com.
Scream Machine was formed in 2010 with members Jay Hajj (vocals), Craig Johnston (guitar/vocals), Dave Wrenn (drums), and Brad Keith (bass). The band plays ‘80s, ‘90s and current hard-rocking hits.
Formed out of the popular Cowhead Show in 2008, Pitbull Toddler has kicked in the door of the Tampa music scene with their combination of blues/metal driven originals and popular covers. The members, Cowhead (Bass), Galvin (Drums), John Brennan (Guitar/vocals), Pete Larios (guitar) and Josh Maloney (vocals), have been performing for nearly a decade in separate projects throughout the area. It was not until Pitbull Toddler, however, that the five reached the potential, the decibel levels and high enough temperatures.
